Mikayla was an absolute DREAM to work with, and we are so beyond thrilled with our wedding photos. My partner and I were initially attracted to Mikayla’s elopement photography because of the ways she captures couples within a landscape so beautifully. We wanted to exchange vows in private before our bigger wedding, and wanted to have Mikayla guide us and shoot that experience in addition to the wedding itself. We are SO happy we did, and were blown away that she could capture both experiences so well. For the vow exchange, Mikayla listened to our vision and presented us with multiple options for locations. She has a major talent for finding locations in the natural world that are perfect for photographing. She gave us amazing prompts that created stunning photos, and made the whole experience extremely comfortable and fun. As for the larger wedding, Mikayla and her second shooter were extremely professional and great energy to be around on a high pressure kind of day! Mikayla made our wedding everything we had dreamed of and more! We did an adventure elopement followed by an intimate ceremony. Mikayla suggested possible trails for our elopement and locations for our ceremony. Both locations ended up being the perfect spots. After searching an elopement website for a photographer, we selected Mikayla for her ability to capture the natural beauty of the landscape in an honest and dreamy way. It rained during our ceremony, and the pictures still ended up amazing. This was our first time having professional photos taken, but Mikayla was great at directing us, making it feel natural. Our friends and family keep telling us how incredible our photos are. If you are considering Mikayla for a traditional wedding or elopement, you won’t be disappointed! Also, bring your pup along!
