This was the last couples session I photographed before all of the COVID19 drama and I miss photographing people in love, you guys haha. Amanda + Colin are the frickin’ cutest and I’m SO HAPPY to finallllllyy share this Honolulu couples session on my blog!
Oahu has so many beaches that are perfect for couples sessions
Amanda + Colin decided on a quiet, tiny beach bout 30 minutes from Honolulu. Amanda is a cheerleader at Hawaii and Colin is a marine at a nearby base! They told me that they’d need direction, I said “OH DON’T WORRY I GOT YOU”! They trusted me every time I said “I know it sounds and feels weird but I PROMISE it’ll look super cute” hahah. I feel like I need to dish that line out a couple of times a session because the majority of the population isn’t used to PDA with a camera pointed at them!
This beach was dead. You guys literally no one else was there so Amanda + Colin were free to roam and do their thing! The water was out of this woooooorld beautiful.
Pro Tip: Wherever you decide to hire a photographer for photos, take the location and season into consideration! No one wants to have their photoshoot in front of a ton of gawking tourists. If you love the look of a popular beach, ask your photographer what time is “prime”! In Hawaii, there are bound to be people everywhere so I suggest sunrise sessions and/or WEEKDAYS! If you’re able to take a half day from work, you’ll run into less people. Overall, privacy is the goal because couples want to be (and LOOK) comfortable during their photos!
Anyways, Amanda + Colin absolutely KILLLLLED IT! Seriously, when we parted ways, I went to Teddy’s to get a burger and then hurried home to go start editing. When Amanda + Colin looked through their photos a couple of days later, they were SO happy because they felt that the photos truly reflected their personalities and love.
OKAY, done talking. Here you are, friends. Enjoy!
Alright, friends! I hope you guys loved this Honolulu couples session as much as I did! If you want to check out some sessions with mountains in them, CLICK HERE! Until next time xoxo
