Oh hey, it’s your fav Colorado Engagement Photographer! Here I present: one of my favorite sessions with one of my favorite couples ever. I’m super proud of this session and it makes me feel really big feels because if you know Jess + Brody, then you know that these photos are so them. Happiest together and in each other’s arms. Strap in, start humming “I Forget Where We Were” by Ben Howard (like I do every time I visit their gallery lol), and scrolllllll through this Lake Dillon Engagement Session.
Jess + Brody flew in from the ‘Burgh to watch B’s mom graduate & to hang in the mountains…what a perfect time to knock out engagement photos, amirite?! We got some late-May snow so I had to go scouting again a couple days before they arrived. I found the new spot, sent it to Jess, and she was soooooo pumped!
Okay, let’s get into it:
J + B are the cutest to watch EVER. EVER. So tender, so genuine, so frickin’ in love. Normally couples need some direction, because let’s be honest, PDA in front of someone you’ve just met can be weird. But they jumped right in with all of the Eskimo kisses and alllllll of the snugs.
Since the moment she inquired, Jess told me she wanted to have some of the photos taken in the water. Now, obbbviously, I was pumped because no couple has ever suggested it before! But, I definitely had to let her know that the water would be freezing cold because of the recent snow melt. They were still up for it and I love them for it lol. First, we hike up to the spot overlooking the water, they do their thing, and KILL IT. We hike back down to the water, they change, and drink some liquid courage (yay for red wine and huge glasses)! THEN, J + B proceed to get in the water and I’m able to capture the dreeeeamiest moments with the most beautiful sky. I wanted to show them every photo I took but I also knew that if I wasn’t super-efficient, they might’ve frozen in that position lol.
When I look at the photos I took of them, I’m so proud. Not because I’m like tooting my own horn or anything but their photos are just so THEM. I can see the love oozing out of them with every kiss and embrace during their Lake Dillon engagement session. It just makes me really happy. We only got to hang out for a couple of hours but they’ll always have a friend in me. Enjoy!
