your Colorado engagement session, stay a while! I promise you’ll find what
you’re looking for (: Check out this engagement session at Red Rocks Open
Space in Colorado Springs.

Chelsea + Diego reached out because they were planning a trip to Colorado! They got engaged before COVID, were slowing starting to knock out some wedding planning, and thought that engagement photos in Colorado Springs would be fun! They stumbled upon my little corner of the internet and we started planning. When I sent over locations for them to choose form, they fell in love with Red Rocks Open Space! I gotta tell ya, I was very excited because I don’t get to photograph this location often.  Chelsea + Diego drove up from San Antonio and the next day, we met in the parking lot. From the moment we started chatting, I knew it was going to be a great session. They’re so kind and in love! I was inspired from the jump and had so much fun photographing them!

Tips for your Red Rocks Open Space Engagement Session

Red Rocks Open Space Address: 3550 W High St, Colorado Springs, CO 80904

+ Keep in mind that this location can be busy on weekends. If you can
make a weekday work, you’ll have less of an audience while you PDA it up
with your honey lol.

+ Red Rocks Open space is very close to Pikes Peak, meaning when the
sun starts to set, Red Rocks will be in its shadow first. Check the sunset
time in advance and plan to meet at least an hour before then if you want
some golden hour magic.

+ This is a great location if you were also planning on going to
Garden of the Gods, they’re only about 10-15 minutes from each other
depending on where you’re going in GotG. Lots of variety!

+ If you are bringing your dog, know that there will be tons of other
dogs, bikers, hikers, and wildlife.

+ Do not leave valuables in your car. The parking lots at Red Rocks
get targeted by thieves because once you leave your car, they know you’ll be
gone for a while exploring.

+ If you take a left at the roundabout entering the park, don’t park
in the furthest lot for the same reason mentioned above.
