Colorado Wedding Photographer
Alyssa and Jordan are easily some of my favorite people in the world. Their wedding was laid back and so fun and full of so much love. You probably recognize them and their personalities from this Breckenridge engagement session. This wedding was my first wedding of 2020 and it didn’t disappoint. Alyssa and Jordan planned their wedding from California and did such a great job! All of their peeps flew in to Denver and drove to the mountains to celebrate their love! & I’m so honored that I was their Colorado Wedding Photographer!
Other than the battle Alyssa’s veil had with the wind (the veil lost once before it was finally laid to rest 30 feet high in an evergreen), the day was smooth sailing. Everyone was so happy and excited to celebrate A + J. Oh and DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THE CUTENESS THAT IS DAISY. I embarrassed myself a couple of times letting other’s hear my puppy voice but whatever. I had so much fun bouncing around and documenting the day.
NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT WHAT MADE EVERYONE IN THE BUILDING CRY
Honestly, I rate weddings off of how much I cry (+ laugh but let’s focus on the crying for a second) hah. I’m a sap and it happens every wedding and it’s just so beautiful. Alyssa and Jordan had their first dance, and then Alyssa said a speech right before the father/daughter dance and THEN Jordan said a speech right before the GRANDPARENTS’ DANCE.
Alyssa’s grandma and Jordan’s grandpa passed away and didn’t get to witness them say “I Do”. Alyssa and Jordan struggled with the absence (see Alyssa putting remembering her grandma as she was getting ready and putting her grandma’s pearls on) and while Alyssa’s grandpa and Jordan’s grandma were thrilled that their grandchildren were marrying the love of their life, they were also deeply missing their spouses. When I tell you EVERYONE WAS CRYING. I mean it. Truly. Snot and sniffles everywhere. I was fogging up my camera with my tears and was doing my ugly cry. Something reserved for instances like McDreamy dying on Grey’s Anatomy (if that was a spoiler, 10% off a wedding package lol. Jk but I’m still sorry). Anyways, it was beautiful and something that I will never, ever forget.
In conclusion, I loved this day. It was an absolute PRIVILEGE to follow Alyssa and Jordan around with my camera while celebrating, laughing, and crying with them.
The Barn at Evergreen is an awesome venue and if you’re considering getting married there, do it. The stained glass is next level and photos don’t do it justice. Holler if ya want me to meet you there and chase veils for you. I’m down if you are!
