The Best Wedding Venues in Colorado Springs
No matter how you want to get married in Colorado Springs, if you’re looking for a wedding venue, you’re in the right place. As a wedding and elopement photographer based in Colorado Springs, I’ve seen them all—and have some favorites. Here are some of the Colorado Springs wedding venues you should consider for your special day!
Small Wedding Venues in Colorado Springs
Maybe you’re coming from out-of-state and can’t bring your whole crew with you, or you’re just looking for an intimate gathering to celebrate your special day. Whatever the case, here are some of the most picturesque and vibey small wedding venues in Colorado Springs:
Almagre Venue
Although this event space in downtown Colorado Springs can hold up to 150 guests, it also welcomes small weddings of 20-40 guests. You can pick and choose the rooms in the venue you want to rent and then create your perfect day with a hip, urban vibe that makes for gorgeous photos!
The Hearth House Micro Weddings
Located between Colorado Springs and Denver, The Hearth House offers a special “micro-wedding” package for celebrations of 25-75 guests. (There’s also a DIY option and a “wedding on a whim” package for spontaneous weddings—this place is flexible.) If alpine charm is the vibe you’re after, this is a great option. With exposed wood beams, grand fireplaces, brick walls, and a patio with views of the Rockies, you’ll feel like you’re holed up in a cozy ski chalet.
Rhize Retreats
Rhize Retreats has a property in the Pikes Peak National Forest a little over an hour outside of the city, and is one of the best small wedding venues in Colorado Springs. By selecting their Small Wedding package, you get space for 2-20 guests, but many of the spots on their property have room for up to 40 as well. Like the Eagles Nest wedding deck complete with a customized wedding arch made from aspen wood, the Hummingbird Barn, or The Ridge, ideal for casual, camp-style parties.
Colorado Springs Restaurants and Bars
Maybe your idea of the perfect small wedding is just a sit-down dinner with your crew, and there are lots of restaurants and bars in Colorado Springs that offer the perfect atmosphere for just that! Opt for a restaurant with a view, go upscale at a chop house, or keep things casual and meet up at a brewery for a post-ceremony beer.
Big Wedding Venues in Colorado Springs
Got more than 100 guests on your wedding invite list? Here are some of my favorite big wedding venues in Colorado Springs.
The Pinery at the Hill
The Pinery at the Hill, located in the middle of Colorado Springs, is an elegant space with unbeatable views of the city and a number of different wedding packages to fit all kinds of couples. There are both outdoor ceremony spaces and indoor ballrooms that can accommodate more than 200 guests, plus on-site wedding planners to help you curate the perfect day.
The Mining Exchange
This grand hotel was built in 1902 and still retains all its classic charm and Wild West character. With capacity for up to 180 guests and a total of 117 guest rooms, there is plenty of space for your whole party. Plus the experienced hotel team makes it easy to plan the perfect day.
The Broadmoor
The elegant and picturesque Broadmoor has room for weddings of even up to 1,000 guests, so don’t worry about trimming down that guest list! Pick from a number of different ceremony locations, like the cozy Cheyenne Lodge’s outdoor terrace, the private Fish House, Estate House lawn, and others. Then, host a dinner and dance party in the hotel’s Broadmoor Hall, Donald Ross Room, Main Ballroom, or other venues, each one sophisticated and spacious.
Clay Venues
Urban weddings can be so dreamy and picturesque, especially when hosted at the Clay Venues downtown. With 6,000 square feet of space, you can celebrate your love with up to 200 seated guests, and all within walking distance of several Colorado Springs hotels, restaurants, and attractions.
Pikes Peak Ranch
Get ready for all kinds of views at Pikes Peak Ranch, located on 110 acres of private land less than an hour outside the city. The ranch has a brand new event space with room for up to 145 people, plus you get your pick of ceremony sites and access to private cabins plopped right in the middle of a scenic stretch of Colorado wilderness.
Garden of the Gods Resort
At this resort you get all the benefits of a Garden of the Gods park wedding and all the luxury of a resort wedding. Win-win! That means panoramic views and gorgeous outdoor spaces as well as hotel rooms to house your guests in, indoor spaces, and even a spa to relax and unwind before the big day.
Outdoor Colorado Springs Wedding Venues
Part of the attraction of tying the knot in Colorado Springs is the great outdoors, and what better way to take advantage than having an outdoor wedding? Here are some Colorado Springs wedding venues in the great outdoors that offer all kinds of gorgeous views.
Garden of the Gods Park
This National Natural Landmark is a spectacular setting for a small wedding in Colorado Springs. Although most sites can’t be reserved for private use, there are lots of different areas where you can hold a ceremony or reception with close friends and family—and all for free! Spots like Jaycee Plaza and High Point that fit up to 50 people, Sentinel and Three Graces Plaza with room for 25, Scotsman Picnic area, the South Spring Canyon, and more. Since the park is wheelchair accessible, you also don’t have to worry about accommodating anyone with mobility issues.
Hillside Gardens Event Center
Gardens and views galore await at the Hillside Gardens Event Center! There’s room for up to 150 people, with an outdoor ceremony site, pavilion, wedding cottage, and more. You can opt for a brunch wedding, evening wedding, or even a full-day celebration.
Pikes Peak
You can learn more about getting married at Pikes Peak in my Colorado Springs elopement guide, but here are the basics: the paved road all the way to the top makes it easy to set up an intimate ceremony on Pikes Peak property for an extra memorable outdoor wedding!
