High Point Overlook Elopement

This High Point Overlook elopement in Garden of the Gods was so beautiful.
The red rock covered in a fresh layer of snow was perfect. If you’re
planning to bring your favorite people to elope in Colorado, stick around
for a little bit! I think you’ll find something to help plan your day.
Especially if you are planning a November elopement in Colorado Springs.

Sam + Parker brought their favorite people up from Texas to elope at High
Point Overlook in Garden of the Gods. When I tell you these people are the
sweetest bunch! They immediately welcomed me into their group for the daand I had such a great time documenting all their special moments. Even
though they were used to (and preferred haha) warmed weather, everyone was
so excited to experience the snow in Colorado.

The entire day was filled with so much love and excitement! Sam and Parker
are teachers and met years ago when Sam was Parker’s teacher mentor. All
their coworkers were trying to get the two together and, when it finally
happened, they decided they wanted to do forever together!

Okay, so the ceremony was cold. Like cold, cold. But Garden of the Gods
covered in snow is truly unmatched! Sam’s brother officiated their ceremony
and we took family photos before it was time to venture into the park for
couples’ photos. They turned out beautiful and we rushed home to thaw out.
They spent the rest of the night bonding and telling stories about Sam +
Parker as kids, while they were dating, about how happy they are for them
getting to this day. It was the perfect ending!

Tips for your elopement at High Point Overlook Elopement

+ A weekday will help maximize privacy. Avoid holiday weekends at all costs.
Mentally prepare for other visitors. This location is accessible and the
perfect place to watch the sunset and there will be other people enjoying
the views.
+ If you’re eloping during the winter months, sturdy footwear with traction is
so important! The ground is already uneven, and ice can make it difficult to
keep your balance if you aren’t prepared.
+ Choose a photographer that can edit out other visitors in the background.
